Cat died in forest fires? Two months later, a small miracle happens

Los Angeles (USA) - The wildfires in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California at the beginning of this year were merciless. Thousands lost their homes and at least 29 people died. Animals were particularly vulnerable to the flames, including Aggie the cat, who disappeared in the midst of the fires. His chances of survival seemed extremely slim, but two months later a small miracle took place!

Katherine Kiefer (82) not only lost her home in the fires, but also her cat - at least temporarily. For two months, the Maine coon was as if she had disappeared from the face of the earth. But Aggie provided further proof that whiskers could have nine lives!

A viral TikTok video by Katherine's daughter Carolyn shows the senior being reunited with her cat after the anxious weeks. Within a few days, the clip has been viewed more than 6.6 million times, with around 1.3 million users leaving a like so far!

A very emotional moment for Katherine. With tears in her eyes, she takes the still visibly damaged Aggie into her arms. "We couldn't be more grateful to the Westside Animal Shelter," Carolyn wrote in the video. "Never lose hope."

Shortly before, the cat had been discovered on the street near her former home, as Fox 11 reported. With the help of the chip, the owner was finally found.

"I never thought I would ever see her again," the 82-year-old told the broadcaster. "There's just such a connection, like you have with your children. She really means everything to me - I don't want to say 'everything' - but that's the only word I can think of."

But the cat still has a long road to recovery ahead of her. "She was basically skin and bones and completely starved," Carolyn told the Associated Press. A GoFundMe page has been set up for all the expensive treatments that are now pending.

Tens of thousands of euros have already been donated there.
