In a post on the X platform, the princess wrote an emotional message to photographer Liz Hatton, who died of cancer in November at the age of 17.

As People reported, the 43-year-old can particularly empathize with the teenager, as she herself suffered from the serious illness.

"We celebrate the strength and creativity of Liz and Vicky(editor's note: her mother) Hatton. It was an honor to meet them both in Windsor in October. Liz's memory lives on in Vicky's unwavering resilience. Thank you for this moving moment," the tweet reads.

The meeting in October last year meant a lot to Liz, who had previously drawn up a bucket list. One item on it was to meet the future Queen one day.

Just a few weeks later, the brave 17-year-old passed away. Shortly after her sad death, the Royal called Liz a "talented young photographer whose creativity and strength inspired us both".
